Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu

Arrival at Tribhuvan Airport in Kathmandu, welcome by our tour representative and transfer to hotel. Check into the room and refresh. Dinner & Overnight at hotel.

Day 02: Kathmandu - Sightseeing

After Breakfast visit Pashupatinath; Shoyambhunath and Jalnarayan Temples. Lunch at the Hotel. Evening Tour Briefing. Dinner & Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Drive Kathmandu - Dhunche or Shyabru Besi(130 km)

After breakfast drive to Dhunche or Shyabru Besi on your bus. The drive to Dhunche or Shyabru Besi is not long in distance but the road and traffic conditions can make it tiring and time taking. Upon reaching Dhunche or Shyabru Besi stay in a lodge/guesthouse. Dinner and stay at the guesthouse.

Day 04 : Drive Dhunche /Shyabru Besi - Koyirong via Rasuwagadhi

After breakfast drive to the Nepalese border of Rasuwagadi which is about 15 km from Shyabru Besi. After immigration formalities, the group will cross the border on foot to reach China side. The pilgrims are then transferred on their Chinese bus for an onward drive to Koyirong. We travel in sturdy and comfortable vehicles that are controlled and guided by Tibetans. The accompanying Nepalese Sherpas get into the coaches after loading the food materials water etc and the onward journey into the Tibetan/Chinese region continues toward the town of Koyirong (also spelled as Keyrung sometimes). On arrival, check into a room and take a rest for today. Overnight stay will be in a guesthouse at Keyrung in dormitory style.

Day 05: Free day at Koyirong (Kerung) for acclimatization

This day is reserved for rest for acclimatization in Tibet’s tough climate. Our tour manager will assist you with a short hike in and around Keyrong to warm up your body to adjust to Tibet’s high altitude. Also, you can enjoy the day by chanting Bhajan or Katha in the guesthouse.

Day 06 : Koyirong – Saga (290 KM / 5-6 hrs.)

After an enjoyable drive through the mountains terrain and then the plains provide us with a marvelous view of the huge and bluish lake Pieko-Tso. The yearlong Tsangpo (Brahmaputra River) is crossed over on, past the turn-off for the northern route, and arrives at the settlement of Saga (4840m). The landscape gradually changes to the high plains of Tibet, soft beautiful, and photogenic. Stay overnight at a guesthouse/lodge in dormitory style.

Day 07: Saga - Lake Manasarovar via New Dongba (390Km / 9 hrs drive)

We have a very important day today as we are heading to the holiest place at Lake Manasarovar. As per the above time schedule, our day begins with breakfast at 0730 AM. On the way before Mayumla Pass (4900 m), we take break for permit formalities and for lunch then continue the journey crossing Mayumla Pass and Paryang Country. You will have a very good opportunity to see the first glimpse of Mt. Kailash from the shore of Lake Manasarovar. There will be a few minutes’ halts before heading to our camp/guesthouse at Lake Manasarovar for the permit formalities, that period you can use for praying and exploring the beauty of Mt. Kailash. After immigration is complete, we will drive further to our guesthouse at Chiu Gompa (Depending on permission of the local authorities we may have to change our vehicle here and travel in local buses operated by the authority near Mansarovar and Kailash region). Today, you will complete Lake Manasarovar parikrama or the next Morning. You will have a very significant moment in Lake Manasarovar with almighty blessing and even a graceful evening with the breathtaking view of the holiest Lake Manasarovar and Mt. Kailash. Besides this, you can also see or visit Chiu Gompa Monastery situated on a hillock near the Guesthouse. Stay in the guesthouse in dormitory style.

Day 08: Drive to Darchen

This morning – Take a holy Dip and perform Puja (prayer ritual) at Mansarovar Lake Later by Evening Drive to Darchen (2 hrs)
Hotel: Himalya / Any Chinese Hotel with Attached bath room (Multiple Sharing)
Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 09 : Drive to Yama Dwara & Trek to Deruphuk (4909 m)-12 Km Trek

After breakfast drive towards Yama Dwate via Darchen. Yamadwar (Tarboche) which is the starting point of Kailash Parikrama. Tarboche is also well known as an outer “Asthapath”. It is one of the exciting days walking along the beautiful rocky cliffs; waterfalls with some clouds in the clear blue sky make you feel that Great God Shiva is everywhere with tons of blessings to you. We see Ganesh Parvat on its' side. From time to time the north face of Kailash Parvat will keep on appearing. Overnight at Guest house. If you are not doing Parikrama, then you will be waiting at Darchen - Mud Guest House multiple sharing (If using hotel Himalaya/any Chinese Hotel with attached bathrooms then the Cost Difference INR 3000 per person for 2 nights to be paid directly by the guest) till Group return from Parikrmawe will arrange accommodation & Meals.

Day 10: Trek to Zutulphuk (4760 m) (22 km ) - passing through Dolma La Pass

Today is the most challenging day in our Yatra. After breakfast, Trek from Dirapuk to Dolma La Pass (8 km). About 3 km before reaching Dolma La Pass is a steep hill and quite difficult to walk. Also descending from Dolma La Pass is the same for up to 3 km. While descending you can see Gaurikund on the right. After walking for about 2 – 3 hrs we will reach Phedi. After some rest, we will start trekking to Zuthulpuk (12 km trek for 6 hours). Overnight at Guest house.

Altitude: 5700 m

Day 11 : Drive to Saga via Darchen / New Dongba (390 Km / 9 Hrs. Drive)

This is our last trek day and we have to make a short trek of about 4-5 hours so we wake up at normal time and begin trekking to descend to Darchen town. Our transport will pick up us from the mid-way to Darchen, up to where the road is accessible, and drive to the guesthouse at Darchen where our other groups staying, and then take lunch there. Then after, we straight forwards continue our drive to New Dongba Stay in a Hotel.

Day 12: Drive Saga – Koyirong ( 290Km / 5 – 6hrs. Drive)

After breakfast, we begin our journey towards Koyirong. On the way we pass through the town of Saga, cross the bridge over the beautiful Brahmaputra River, and continue our journey across the vast open Tibetan plains. The journey offers stunning Himalayan views, particularly of Shishapangma and the Pieko-Tso Lake. Driving on well-pitched roads and mountainous terrain we reach Kerung for an overnight. Stay in a guesthouse in a dormitory style.

Drive: 6/7 Hrs. Drive

Day 13: Koyirong - Kathmandu via Rasuwagadhi

After breakfast drive from Koyirong we walk to the Nepalese immigration control in Rasuwagadi, complete the re-entry formalities, and get transferred to our hotel in Kathmandu. This should take about 6- 7 hours by bus. Dinner and night stay will be in the Hotel

Day 14: Final departure from Kathmandu

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Airport to board your flight back home.

  1. The passport must be valid for six months from the date of departure from Kathmandu.
  2. Age Limit for Yatra 09-70 yrs For Indians (Yatra in 2024 then Year of Birth should not be before 1954 irrespective of any month).
    Foreign Passport Holders are allowed above 70 Yrs as well.
  3. Recommendation for Indians: Please Issue Air Tickets for Kathmandu; as per Name on your Voter ID. ( You Must Carry ORIGINAL VOTER ID to FLY Kathmandu)
  4. Indian Passport requires Min. a 4 working days prior at the Delhi office to grant the visa.
  5. Foreign Passport holders should reach Kathmandu 4 working days prior to the travel date to be granted the visa.
